Discussion about dreams.

Had a crazy dream that I got into a car accident last night.

Woke up to find out that my mom was in a car accident this morning...

how about this one?

my father always has a dream... So does his mother (my grandma)

so friday night my uncle passed away because he was sick. However my father wasn't told because he would catch a panic attack, so my mother and I left him sleeping since he came in late from work.

My mom was like" he will wake up talking about a dream... I guarantee it" and all I will do is confirm it.

He woke up in the morning saying how he had a dream of a gathering. A whole bunch of friends and family at an event. ( Usually means funeral and death) and that this guy who was tall, had on glasses and with a grey beard walked up to him and they knew each other's faces. but they just couldn't put their finger on it and they walked away ( my uncle was tall had glasses and a big grey beard)

So my mom was like well baby you dream straight. Because your brother passed last night....
Obviously he cried.

But this is to prove that dreams reach somewhere that we will never ever reach in a conscious state.

Cliff note of last night:

#1 side chick said that she "hates me" and "she can't do this anymore"
I'm like o.k it's not the end of the world..

(Charlie Murphy voice) "WRONG"

Dream:
1st half.. Basically it was like the movie purge.. Where it was every friend I ever known was trying to kill me.. Nobody died.. It was just a lot of attempts..

2nd half: the purge was over.. I was relaxing at my house.. My doorbell was ringing so i answer it.. it was My #1 side chick.. She basically seduce me.. As it was about to go down.. She lay on top of me and pull out some pepper spray.. (It never got empty) I swear she was spraying me for hours(real time).. The only reason why I kept dreaming was because I was was waiting for the sex scene to start but it never happened.. So I wake up..

There was a thread on here a little over a year ago similar to this one. Apparently, If you attempt to call yourself with a phone in a dream, and succeed, you talk to your subconscience 8o And then some creepy stuff will go down/be said.

Never got the courage to do it :lol

Me: *dials* Line: You've reached the inner concious of Victor, how may I help you?

But seriously, whatever I'm thinking of before I go to bed, influences my dreams. I can remember some very vividly.

The worst dream I ever had was when I was 12 and it has stuck with me every since.

Some friends and I were walking around some random town when we decided to visit the main building of the town. The building, and I remembered being in awe of how magnificent the building was. When we entered we were greeted by a friendly woman who offered us drinks and told us that we had been very good and deserved a prize. I thought nothing of it and we continued into another room covered with white and black squares.

A voice sounded that said "Good-bye" and one of my friends was suddenly missing from the group. Again for some reason I brushed it off. My friends were extremely scared and started to panic. We noticed that there were four doors in this room (one for every wall of the square room). Suddenly another friend started to suffocate and I remember looking into his eyes as he fell over and died. AT THIS POINT I WAS FREAKED THE F**** OUT! As a group we decided to run through the far door and enter a room filled with mirrors. For some reason I couldn't see myself in the mirrors, but I could see all my friends. I tried to yell out but no noise came out, and that's when I realized that none of my friends knew where I was. I was screaming, and jumping right in front of there faces but none of them saw me. One of my friends noticed I was gone but didn't know where I went.

Deciding to get the f*** out of the room my friends ran back through the door they came through, but when I tried to follow them the room gradually got longer. The door got farther and farther away, and when I turned around I saw that all the mirrors were gradually growing. As the room got longer and longer it also got skinnier. I found myself trapped in a room where the side walls were shrinking in on me. Then just as the rooms was about to squish me I woke up.

Freakiest sh*t I have ever experienced. I woke up sweating and shivering, and couldn't go back to sleep until the morning.

Usually I don't remember anything about my dreams 20 min later, but yet 6 years later I still vividly remember this dream.

Same for me. Think about a girl I want t get at, she's in my dreams, think about some shoes/clothing, appears in my dreams.

I use to have "precognitive" dreams when I was younger. Nothing major, just common everyday stuff. One I remember vividly is dreaming I was riding the train with my mother, we were heading to my aunts house out in BK. Anyway in this dream I was wearing a white polo with some jean shorts and we had just past a certain stop on the subway. A few months later, I'm on the train with my mother and I just get hit with the strongest sense of deja vu. That's when I remember this stupid little dream I had.

Nothing serious but it always stood out in my mind. I don't get them anymore, not sure if that's a good or bad thing :lol

Last summer I actively tried to make myself have lucid dreams. After a few weeks of almost accomplishing the task, it finally happened. I had full awareness that I was asleep and attempted some stuff I knew was only possible in the dream world. It wasn't exactly what I thought it would be, though, as I found that my dream self was still bound by some limitations (ie I couldn't fly).

I heard several stories of folks losing themselves in their ability to have lucid dreams. For example, I remember reading about some guy (he was either here on NT or in my philosophy course back in freshman year) that had Darth Vader tell him not to tamper with what he didn't understand.

I don't actively try any more. It's better to just reflect on them when you're awake than trying to dictate how they play out during.

Deja Vu is a whole different ball game. It's cool when it happens because I always try to remember what happened next in my dream to see if it will actually happen in real life.

See how OP said he told those people that they only exist in his dream?

Ever wonder if it's possible that we're all just living in someone's dream and life as we know it could come to an end in the blink of an eye? No pun intended.

How come you couldn't? Had a lucid dream about a month ago and I did exactly that the entire time.

On Topic: Don't really sweat mines. All of my dreams are almost completely identical to real life which is why it's hard for me to "snap out of it" when I am dreaming. Honestly can't tell the difference between my dream and reality until I wake up.

Have been a couple times (a lot more lately since I got back into meditation) where I was dreaming and realized I actually was dreaming and took control.

Now I know this thread is about dreams but what are everyones thoughts about Deja-Vu 8o

I have about 2-3 deja-vu moments a month...its crazy when I dream it and then when it happens in real life. Nothing crazy ever happens, just some random everyday stuff but it still amazes me :lol

I also remember when I was a kid I had a dream where I had the batman beyond batsuit and it was so real

been wanting to make this thread for a minute

i've been having much more vivid dreams in the last month out of nowhere

and i had a nightmare combined with sleep paralysis which was probably the scariest thing thats ever happened to me

i've also been able to read in some of my dreams. don't know where the you can't read in dreams thing comes from.

but yeah maybe ill start logging some of my dreams here.

Anyone ever try any dream herbs? I might get some Calea Zacatechichi and make tea out of it.

Also has anyone ever had images in there dream "bleed" through into reality? I **** you not there would be times where I would be looking at something in my dream, then immediately open eyes and see an afterimage or shadow of the figure i was observing. Thoughts?

Had a dream I went to my hometown last night n the guys from a different neighborhood tried to blast me. They didn't but I ended up going back n blasted a few of them. Cops chased me n I got away. But then I went to where I grew up, which is a part of their territory, to hang out with my childhood friends n they hit me up again. They chased me to this restaurant a couple blocks away n when I got inside my kuzn n his BM were there. He wanted to out banging but I knew those cats were waiting outside. He went outside n I followed, but when I got out there I was outside some big party that I couldn't get into. I eventually got in dressed as the help, but my little brother was there getting picked on by some kids smaller than him. I told him to stop being so timid, that they were doing this to be mean n it wasn't a game. He then beat up those kids n one of the kid's momma came up n I started talking to her. Then I woke up.

The first part of my dream felt so real n the fear of dying was real. It was four of them in a G-ride with a couple Uzis n the fear just took over. This has been a few nights in a row where I dream of dying or nearly dying.

I just had the most annoying dream. I was packing in order to return home from somewhere and I was in a house with lots of people. I kept packing and packing and packing. Eventually, panic mode was setting in because I was running late for my flight, but still had more to pack. Then the house became quiet and still...It was raining outside and everyone was gone. They all had left to catch their flight, but I had more packing to do. Eery feel.

I looked up the packing portion of my dream online and it says I'm being weighed down by responsibilities and expectations in my life. :\

Man usually I don't remember my dreams but last night for some reason I dreamed I got stopped by the cops but it turned out to be delroy lindo and two chicks so I was chillin with them. Strange as hell.

We were playing in a bubble game and Dahntay Jones was fouled wjile bringing the ball up and his nose ended up bleeding. I stood near RW off-the line. Something was said and he told me he would "Steal the **** out of me."

I Knocked him out. At least 8 hit combo. Somehow, everybody vanished but me, some old SE Asian/White dude, and the body. We were looking for a way to dispose of it while thinking of an escape plan for me. We were about to bust out all the cameras then I woke up.

Some 5+ years ago, I had a dream I was in a physical NikeTalk.

Walked into a building and there were different rooms. In each room there were multiple Tv's on stands. There were 3-4 people huddled around each tv discussing the topic on the tv.

I woke up and realized the rooms were different forums and the TVs were threads. And the people were NTers discussing the topics presented on the TVs.
