anybody looking to try just know that the app is super glitchy. sometimes the button will pop up right away on its own. sometimes you gotta go back and sometimes you gotta close and reopen the app. best bet is to have multiple people try

trip report for yesterday:

got there at open but by the time we got in the sign was out already so we grabbed a pass for space mountain, rode smugglers run(we we were successful!) and then headed to breakfast at storytellers

storytellers is awesome, i really really enjoyed dining there as an experience and the cast members make the most of it while you are there

space mountain then matterhorn

then we headed to california adventures and rode incredicoaster then the toy story shooting gallery 179k points(HOW DO PEOPLE GET 500k)

then back to disney for our appointment at the cantina(outer rim was favorite)

then we rode small world and when we got out it was super dark(the fire must have knocked lights out)

went on pirates and then grabbed beignets and clam chowder

pretty tired, will make a trip back when marvel opens to try for rise again

how was the crowd?

looks like you got the most out of your time

didnt get to the try the lunar kiosks?

didnt get to the try the lunar kiosks?
crowd was centered in galaxys edge. guardians didnt have fast passes and the wait was long :frown:

im ok not riding rise cause i can try in the future, but missing indy an d guardians during a trip kind of sucks

oh yeah, we also got on the updated star tours(standby was crazy short)

More plaids?

from the article:
For Bryant, this was the case, and as a result he would often get around using a guest relations escort, or as they’re known in slang terms, “plaids” (owing to the plaid vest they wear). These special guides can get celebrities in and out of attractions quickly and the to the front of lines, all while bringing them through shortcuts used by employees to get around quickly in what’s known as the “backstage” area.

yeah everytime i see the plaids around, its usually some celebrity

i probably wouldnt even notice/realize the celebs if it wasnt for the plaids. i want to try that one of these days though, maybe when we finally get that club33 invite :nerd:

Yeah Kobe was apparently heavy at Disneyland over the years...

My close encounter with him was in 2011...I was riding Star Tours with a buddy of mine while our wives was over getting us into Blue Bayou...Wife called and said they saw him walking fast with one of his daughters and a couple of cast members...

Going in March to Disneyland from México for our Honeymoon. First time in LA. Pretty excited.

Any tips for a first timer? Maxpass is a must?

My girl doesn't like thrill attractions so we're cool with kiddie rides and she loves to wander arround shops and that kind of stuff.

Also, we're staying in Little Tokyo, saw that Metrolink to Fullerton is the easist (and cheapest) way to get there. Any tips for getting there at open?

Stay closer if you can, it's not the getting there, it's the getting back when your tired from walking miles that's rough. Your girl is going to love it it sounds like, so just get lots of photos to remember your first time. Enjoy the little things, the look in her eyes, watch and listen to the little kids, because in my experience, they can really capture the magic. The magic is meant to be shared, so dont fall victim to the people who push and fight their way through, it only leads to frustration and takes away from your time. But leave your world at the door, and fully appreciate the world that Walt created, down to the details. Take your time, and hold her hand. Congrats!

Oh yeah, figure out what time the fireworks are going, and try to be on either the Casey jr or storybook boats during that time. It's hard to time, but if you do, it's the best seat in the house and one heck of a way to kick off a lifetime together.
