Do black varsity 6s run true to size? or..

Are black varsity 6s true to size or do they run half size smaller. Or are they good but kinda roomy.

I'm a size 8. I've tried on raptors size 8 and it felt kinda spacey but good. If I cop 8.5 varsity 6s would they fit good or just looser.
