Do Brita Water FIlters really work??

I'm thinking about investing in one (that attaches to the faucet, if it matters). So do these things really work or is it just a gimmick?

Used to have a Brita filtered pitcher when I lived at home. Definitely works.

Yes.

I had the faucet one in the U.S.
Now I have a mobile filter here in Africa and it saves a lot of money.
Also very clean.

Yes but they do not get rid of all the heavy metals present in tap water.

yep. Sure does. Definitely taste a difference between when I drink from my tap Vs. when I use the filter.
