Yes contraceptives work! But moreso then often the ppl using fail.. Being grown and not knowing how to use a condom ftmfl. Ppl not being able to follow simple instructions on a b.c. box dont work.

Seriously, is this a real question?
If they didn't work or do something... why the HELL would anyone choose to use them. If your question is, are they 100% safe and protect you from unwarranted pregnancies and STDs every single time, then no. Even if used perfectly they're not 100% effective and they can still fail.
This is a really, really, really, stupid and vague question.
