Well, I know this mentally-challenged girl. She functions, but she's kind of "off".
She's the type that can't have altercations because she'd probably try to stab a person, not being able to fully understand the repercussions for her actions.
She doesn't see a problem with the way she thinks ... & she only knows that she's slow is because her family TELLS her that.
Other than that, they know why they're in special programs, but they don't fully grasp why ...
