Do you find it rude when people ask how much you paid for a "big" purchase?

I really don't care, but it's ALWAYS the same few people in my life, mainly relatives i barely see who ask me this question.

they ask, i tell them, and it's always the same answer. "everybody ain't able." Like you sit here and ask me some @@$!, and you reply with some condescending @@$! like that, like i'm supposed to feel bad, i can afford some of things i buy.

This and why do I care if somebody ask me like I'm ashamed of what I have whether it's regular priced or expensive. Its usually friends asking anyway not complete strangers so why would I care if my friend/family ask?

No.
I mean, for something like a car, you could easily Google it and find the numbers so why bother withholding that information?  You ashamed of your purchases?
