Do you snore

i have sleep apnea, got an operation (cut my tonsils+adenoids), lost 25 lbs... still snore and feel fatigued... smh @ life

My whole fam snores like a wild bunch of hibernating bears but I've been told i don't. The whole teeth grinding thing is weird. I had a girl in my bedwho was doing that one night REALLY loud and it kept waking me up because i sleep really light...i had to wake her up and ask her what the +!%% was going onand told her to chill that #%*+ out...she hasn't been back since.

I do sometimes apparently. New chick i kick it with snores so loud that it legit makes me mad. Even with ear plugs it's still dumb loud. Legit told her i gotta take her back home last night, bc i wasn't gonna ask her to sleep on the couch and i can only sleep in my bed (we went through this all week and i toss and turn on my couch). She elected to sleep in the living room. This is low key a deal breaker.

Reminds me of a meme i saw that said 'imagine marrying the love of your life and you find out they sleep with the TV on':smh:

Yes, I do. I'm trying to remedy it by dieting and seeing a doctor. My dad has apnea and there's a chance I may have it too and gotta wear a mask at night lol

Sometimes I do, sometimes I don’t. But when I do, I’ve been told it gets pretty loud.

Yes. My wife has been telling me for years, I went and had a sleep study done, confirmed. Not tripping at all because when I retire I can get paid for it.

One time when I was like 22-23 I went to Atlantic City with a group of my friends. We got a room with 2 beds and 2 couches, so was 2 smaller friends in one bed, me alone bc I’m 6’2, one on each couch. Long story short, I had a friend who was heavy set, like 350 pound dude and he snored like an 18 wheeler down a quiet street. And it was unreal. He would snore for like 3 hours straight then stop for 20 min. And to make matters worse one of my friends sleeping on the couch snored in and out and seemed to snore loudest in the 20 min my other friend stopped snoring. I slept about 4 min out of the 6 hours I was in the bed

Also, I sometimes snore and my gf says sometimes when I sleep it sounds like I’m choking or can’t breathe. Is that apnea?

:rofl:at the description of your friend's snore.

And the description that your GF shared could be apnea. I would recommend getting checked for it because that's what my wife has said about me. Especially when I'm really tired.

It kind of freaks me out, because when my dad went to go get tested for Apnea. The results showed that he stopped breathing for a couple of minutes and then continued to snore.

I've been told by numerous people that my snore is like a Harley Davidson ripping down the highway. To make it worse, I can fall asleep super quick once I lay down so nobody in the same room or room next door stands a chance to fall asleep before I start snoring. My girl has found that if she just hammers me in the chest precordial thump style, I usually stop snoring long enough for her to pass out.

Snoring is typically caused by the tongue being in a position where it blocks the airway. Propping yourself up with pillows usually helps.

I figured it had something to do with not being on a pillow. She pissed me off bc her head was like on the edge of the pillow. I legit wanted to list her head up and lay it on top of multiple pillows. She's sweet but when she's sleep it sounds like construction work.

Only when extremely intoxicated (so I’ve heard). Other than that, I haven’t heard any complaints. Never woke myself up or anything.

Here's a wake-up call for snorers: Snoring may put you at a greater risk than those who are overweight, smoke or have high cholesterol to have thickening or abnormalities in the carotid artery, according to researchers at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.

The increased thickening in the lining of the two large blood vessels that supply the brain with oxygenated blood is a precursor to atherosclerosis, a hardening of the arteries responsible for many vascular diseases.

"Snoring is more than a bedtime annoyance and it shouldn't be ignored. Patients need to seek treatment in the same way they would if they had sleep apnea, high blood pressure or other risk factors for cardiovascular disease," says lead study author Robert Deeb, M.D., with the Department of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at Henry Ford.

"Our study adds to the growing body of evidence suggesting that isolated snoring may not be as benign as first suspected. So instead of kicking your snoring bed partner out of the room or spending sleepless nights elbowing him or her, seek out medical treatment for the snorer."

The study reveals changes in the carotid artery with snorers -- even for those without sleep apnea -- likely due to the trauma and subsequent inflammation caused by the vibrations of snoring.

My girl says I sleep like I'm dead 95%, than have incoherent mumbling the other 5%.

I've been told I don't. Last two women I dated snored some serious
