Doctor's Appointments....rant. UPDATE

I have an appointment at 2:45pm with my optomalagist. I show up at 2:30pm. It's 3:15 right now and I'm still waiting to get in. I think there's like 7 people more until I get it.

I don't think I've ever met my doctor at the appointment time. average wait time has always been an hour plus.

Why even make appointments!!!!!!!

after an hour and a half of waiting, they called me in.

then I waited another half hour inside to be seen.

all in all....it took me 2 hours to be done.

Appoinment was at 2:45, came at 2:30, saw doctor at 4:30, exam was 10 @@%##!@ MINUTES.

Blame other patients for coming in late and/or bringing up other issues to the doc that they didn't mention while booking
Blame Health Insurance companies for palty reimbursement rates

or blame the receptionists for not calling me earlier to reschedule when they know that they're 2 hours behind.

back in the day my orthodontist used to take so long, I'd pass out in the chair and be half asleep by the time he got in the room, he'd work on me like half awake. He was in NYC too, and split his practice between there and freakin North Carolina. He is a wild dude, went to college w/ my older sis, so he gave a lil discount, but i swear the time wasted for a year and a half was incredible.

I know docs that alternate between practices in NYC and LI, but damn..
