I need some help with this. I have trouble with this. I feel like once I get writing my hooks down I'll finally get in the studio and do this thing?

Anyone got any tips?
Rilla?
TIME?
Nako?
Jewelz?

The easiest thing I think is to take your favorite/hottest line and just repeat that beast to the beat where the hook goes. Manipulate it so it fits.

For hooks you wanna use the most accessible words, the ones that rhyme easy because you're probably gonna need a lot of rhyming.

Or you can write another fire verse and stick it in there as the hook.

Don;t write a hook. Just chop and screw a sample like everyone else does or get an R&B singer to harmonize for you.

Its not tht hard to write a hook. if you can't make up a hook tht means you are thinkin to hard about..

I'm sure you have some line you made up. that you walk around sayin alot.

listen to the other melodies in the music that aint as obvious ...if its a clubtype joint use the obvious melody ...if the joint is tracked out strip the beatdown ..so u can hear it differently ..it may spark some thoughts

yeah i would agree with dude above me, but here's some i thought of over a cut.

Try listening to the strings or melody of the beat, summarize what your saying in your verses and try to make a hook based on something you've heardbefore, just mix it up, music is like movies there's nothing original just different ways of telling the same story.

and this information is coming to you from the hook king. (Hail me)

I got you... yo all you really have to do is feel the hook out. What is the beat asking you for? Compliment the beat with a simple hook that explainsit, and go from there. Keep it simple and organic. Don't try to get too complicated or technical with trying to squeeze too much into the hook. Just letthe hook develop from a single line or thought. Make it a little catchy, and you're good. As long as your hook is the thesis of your song, you should beaight.

^exactly, if you write the hook first, thats the best way to approach the because the verses will fall in place

Fall back you sounding dumb as hell. Ain't no style to hooks that you can bite. Its 8 bars worth of space on a a song three times spaced in between three16 bar verses for the most part. Asking for an idea on how to make my choruses sound better ain't asking for hand outs. Ain't no magic book to this. All I'm asking for is some guide lines and ideas that other people use to when writing a chorus. No what should I write a chorus about or any of that. Mystyle is mine. Stick to licking down the man who looks like Duke Da God at ya local barbershop for false info.

QFT...Basically How I Approach Writing Mine....Cuz If Lisseners Dont Remember Any Of Ur Verse's Or Anything U Said

The Beat And The Hook Will Ultimately Decide How They Feel Bout The Song

Depending on the song...

Slow joints- Melodys and chants come to mind quite easily... think lulaby
Uptempo joint/party joints - think about hyping up the listener, repeat a few bars with a few ohhs and ahhhs

If you have a hard time coming up with a hook just write an extra 8-12 bars on what the song is about and you can pick up something from there...

sometimes I write the hook first.... sometimes I write the verses and do the hook on the fly... sing a few melodies until I think something fits
