Does anyone know how I can make multiples images merge into 1?

So, I'm trying to blog and I would like to make multiple images I have into just one image. Does anyone know how I can do this using Photoshop or something like this on a Mac? Thanks.

BTW, this is what I'm trying to go for.

Open PS and go File>New
They should ask for height and width, make them into inches instead of pixels and then make it a high number
Open the images you want in it, copy them and paste them onto the new blank one and move them to wherever you want
Then after all the images are in place, crop out all the unnecessary white space
