"Does not recognize USB" vol. Help

Hi

I've got a little dilemma here. I've got a 2 GB scandisk USB filled with music and a few other files, now I suddenly have a hard time accessing it. Whenever I plug it the computer often hits me with the "USB no recognized" or sometimes I get no notice at all, and acts like nothing just happened.

I tried googling but all I got was the "reset" option, and that didn't work. I haven't tried it on someone elses comp. yet maybe I'll try that...but anyone experience something like this before? Any tips?

-or sounds like a worm/virus.. download usb panda vaccine and start from there..
