Dog apparently commits suicide[table][tr][td][/td] [/tr][tr][td]
A dog in the house of a farmer in east China's Anhui Province recently killed itself by drinking dichlorvos after biting a cat to death.
The dog's owner, surnamed Zhang, said the dog scrambled for a chicken bone with the cat in the family recently and was stopped by the owner. On the following day, the dog fought with the cat again and bit it to death when the house owner was out.
Upon returning, Zhang found the cat lying dead on the ground in a pool of blood, while the dog bent over at the corner of the house in panic. As Zhang loved the cat very much, he beat the dog with his shoes.
To his surprise, he found the dog dead on the next morning with a heap of white foam on its mouth. Beside the dog was an empty dichlorvos bottle Zhang had bought for killing mosquitoes.
