Double Check ATMS - Skimmers

Been browsing internet and seeing a few stories of ppl finding skimmers on ATM machines. One recently in Manhattan

Its the holidays just wanted everyone to be aware when they are trying to take money out using these machines, you just never know. ALWAYS DOUBLE CHECK. Start toying with parts of the machine

Some ***** *** ****** got me twice before and spent a dollar at the gas station and then spent 300 somethin at dam palais royal.

Doggy must have bought a gang of uspa.

I used to know a dude that skimmed cards for a living and sold everything half off.

He got busted but man dude had every electeonic anf tool you can think of.

i went to the gas station and next thing i know im at work at my bank called me talking about "did you charge 300$ at ross and 200$ at marshalls?"

some brok boi out there scamming his way to some terrible clothing

Some skimmers literally look like they are part of the machine. They just pop right onto the real part of the machine. 

Watched a segment on TV about skimmers and credit card thieves a few months ago.

I don't withdrawal cash that much, if I need small amount of $, I just go to Wal Greens or the like and just use my iPhone wallet to withdraw (Instead of paying ATM fees, i just buy some gum or something). The ATM machines need serious updating, the security is trash. They also gotta make it accessible for phone withdrawal.

Big withdrawal always at banks, shops or hotel ATMs. It is the way to do it if you live in a city. Also, it is mad annoying but you can set up security so that you can be texted for approval.

What if atm machines had touch id and a pin number option to withdraw/deposit cash. I know that wouldn't solve the skimmers option but if there are a ton of people around an atm machine touch id reduces the risk of other seeing you put your pin number in.

If the card reader seems the slightest bit loose, go elsewhere.

If you live in NYC, your card is gonna get compromised. No way around it. These guys are too futuristic

When i went they had africans asians and some other people on dam near every corner sellin legit/fake stuff.

Some of these dudes even had a store.

This one lil spot had fake id's and hand held skimmers and thats it. Dude workin there was actin like it was a legit hustle.

Of someone wants your info, they can get it. Anything electronic that's connected via internet/Bluetooth, or any other connection can be hacked and ****** with. Best way is to just stay aware.
