There is definitely no point in wearing a tie and wearing it sloppy-ly.
Either wear one and wear it right or not wear one and leave the top button loose on the shirt.

I picked up four button ups/dress shirts from the thrift store yesterday, all in GREAT condition.

Got a white Brooks Brothers

Button up from Banana Republic

this Ralph Lauren Blake sportshirt but in red

and a Tommy Hilfiger houndstooth button up, all for $12 TOTAL. You guys would be surprised what you can find there, as long as you don't find it beneathyou to shop at the thrift store.

I also found these Superga's at Marshall's for $20.

And these retail for $215, got em for $90.

I used to sift through thrift stores before but there isn't much good stuff in my area.
I've been told some employees takes the good stuff and sells it themselves.

The thrift store near me is like...the Wal-Mart of thrift stores. It's about the size of a grocery store and they sell all kinds of stuff.It's called Unique and I think they have a bunch of locations but I'm not sure if it's a chain. About 90% of what's in there is CRAP, but thereis some good stuff. Saw some Clarks Desert Boots in there for $14.99 but they weren't my size.

What about the square toe don't you like?

^^^ Just the square toe itself.
I prefer a more rounded or even slightly pointed toe.
The square toe is just not for me and I have a certain disdain for it.
It never looks good to me.

I hit up my local urban outfitters yesterday. The selection of sport shirts were very limited as well. They did have a lot of flannels though.

Those NSW jackets are nice. I wonder what the price tag on them are.

you must live in NOVA too. definitely a good spot, but theres a nice salvation army out in alexandria, as well as a huge one in manassas
