Dressing better

^^^bro JCREW is pricey but nowhere near all the other designer brands out there...Jcrew is a step-up from GAP...pretty much like BR.

The Elans were one of those selective purchases i made specifically for my engagement photo session.

Has anyone ever ordered from DavidZ.com? I was about to place an order but my computer said the website wasn't verified meaning fishy. Also, do they do phone orders?

I've ordered a few pairs of New Balances from them a few years back, they were def legit.

It's not a purse, it's EUROPEAN !!

A while ago some dude posted a nice fitting 3-button jacket with a really high buttoning point, and nii suggested that the lapels be re-rolled to make it more like a 2-button. Well, I had a similar jacket and tried it out and am pretty happy with the results. This was a somewhat cheap blazer so I didn't care that much, not sure if I'd try it with a suit jacket. Ripped of the top button and rerolled the lapels by hand and then steamed them down. Don't mind the terrible fitting pants, undershirt, or the jacket riding up in the second pic. Snapped quick pics without much prep.

It will be mainly used traveling to and from work in NYC, carrying laptop, book/magazine and maybe lunch. My office is currently business casual (people use backpacks etc) but I would not want to feel worried about bringing it to a business meeting (finance). I've looked at waxwear a lot as I think it would hold up best to a little beating which I would expect with me, is that correct? Its a gift but would like to keep it under about $400, I also didn't like any of the ones on J Crews website or other Filsons (too rugged looking). Here are some I've looked at, which would you pick? or any other suggestions?

1. Ernest Alexander - Voldis (gray waxweare) $365   http://www.ernestalexande...Grey-Wax-Twill-Messenger

if you're gonna use it often and for years to come look into a saddle back bag...they cost more than what you're looking at but worth it if you'll use it a lot

or, get one made like i'm doing...i'll post pics of it later

I haven't done any alterations at all, I think it fits perfect for my taste...stop by Jcrew and try it on, guarantee you will walk out with 400$ less in your account

closest j crew to me is over an hour and that's only an outlet stor

...may be over 2 hours for the closest regular j crew store

does the chest fit true? do you usually wear 38?

I haven't owned that many suits to be honest bro, I got married 6 months ago and I got my suit from MW, the jacket was a 38R and it fit bigger than this one...so I think with JCREW, specially with the ludlow, they run a bit smaller, this is also what the sales guy told me, the Ludlow has a slimmer fit than their other suits....if you want I'll measure my chest when I get a chance and ten you can use that as a reference as to more or less how it might fit...idk..just trying to help...lol

This outfit would look a million times better if you cleaned up the laces. There's no problem rocking unique retros but rocking the laces normal gives it a more " grown man " feel.

a real cheap alternative to JCrews Timex's, and a nice cheap accessory
Copped a Vintage wind up Timex for a little less than 30$ shipped off the bay
JCrew Band 2 for 25$ plus the 25% off
A little less than 40$ and it keeps great time I just have to wind it daily which strangely gives me a " something to do " feel

I personally prefer JP's, they look better and are more comfortable.

I am leaning more towards JP's anyways. Converse seem to be on another level that doesn't really go with what I'm going for. If that makes sense.

Kstezzy - airmax are always a must with certain outfits i say. That scarf will need an RIP after these holidays.

Jack Purcells are made by Converse.

"If that makes sense" - I guess it didn't make sense to you. Nvm i won't try to explain. thanks tho

Damn - I'm short too bro!...I wish I was at least 5'10...at 5'8 a size 30 length in most pants still longer than I would like...not to mention certain brands like diesel I think don't even go in that length :-( however after one cough I can bare a 30 length....anything longer and I'm in trouble.

Superfly - like I just told Damn I stand at just about 5'8 and most of the pants I've worn in these pics have the fit of levi's 511...I use either 32x30 or 33x30... I've lost about 25 lbs in the past year so I definately fit my pants much better, trying to get down to a 30x30....that's ideal for my height I think...time to hit those obliques and crunches at the Gym!...the denim jacket is from American Eagle, got it last year, wore it alotttt since last year, so it's earn a bit of a worn out look....it definately faded since I first got it.

Diesel does go into that lenght. i love diesel jeans. I have a pair on right now at work. I'm 5'8 and a size 30 to 31 depending on where I cop the jeans at. I'm telling you, Diesel jeans are where its at. I just got a compliment from a co-worker and she is getting some for her man.
