I'm more laid back at night. Unless it's for a formal event where a tie is required, I never wear a tie or bow tie at night.

I'm beginning to wear a tie more often at night...
I have a few different types....black skinny, then a few colored silk dinner ties. They work nicely with a black v-neck or cardigans....sometimes I just wear the black skinny with a leather jacket...
