On another note, I decided to give a tie and bar a try from The Tie Bar. Liking both a lot.
I actually just ordered 2 more items. The bar is an inch and a half for my slimmer ties btw.

They're better in the snow, but if that's not an issue where you live, then I can see why you'd prefer the slimmer profile. Either way, this is my favorite boot ever. Had to retire my latest pair this winter, though.
