Yeah, go with the red tie.
The differing shades of navy don't really work well, IMO. Someone posted an outfit a few pages ago with like 5 different shades of black that I thought was pretty bad too.

I got these a few weeks ago and put black laces in them, they go great with sweaters.  Was also at H&M today and they had such a tight varsity jacket but I just couldn't pull the trigger

Sweater vest and some newly acquired navy slacks from H&M. Mad amped that my hometown is getting one

The fact that he is an elitist douche bag aside:

- The polo under the V-neck is an awful look, just look at the sleeves.  You can clearly see where the polo sleeves end.
- Those loafers are ugly as sin, I don't care how bad you guys are on this guys nuts.  Bad look.

The waistcoats were about $5 each give or take. The blazers were $6, ties around $3, pants $5, and shoes $15.

I hope this encourages you to keep trying! Some days I find a winner, some days no luck. On random Saturdays when I have nothing to do I just hop in my car and type in goodwill or thrift on my gps, and go from store to store. It's worth looking, especially at these prices with some items still brand new, and name designer! The feeling when you finally find something is awesome, and even more, knowing you paid no more than $10.
