At first I was like

, but then, I realized that this doesn't really serve much of a purpose.

What they need to be investing this energy and time in is finding a way to bring flash to the iPhone.

Same.  The OS wars are really app wars.  Maybe there are some Android exclusive apps that Apple doesnt have but all in all, I think iPhone users are pretty much happy with their OS.  Nonetheless, a successful port is always appreciated.

Now if I can get this for my HD2...

Co-sign.  Just for the sake of having options.  Im a happy WinMo/Pho user

Never looked at it like that. Makes you realize though that besides the apps, presentation, amount of freedom, and additional functionality possibly added by the actual phone's specs; these OSes are pretty much the same damn thing. If anything, iPhone OS is cleaner looking than Android (Especially on Jailbroken devices), so this mod was kind of pointless...
 
Customization...and lots of it straight out the box, without rooting or jailbreaking.

As for the OS, as a user of both, i'd say its about dead-even. Apples fails because they make you buy another phone for "added" old features, whereas android just releases an OTA update and give the phone new life.
