Yo Gunna, I remember seeing a piece on ESPN. He chose 39 cause no other runningback in the L had that # at the time, wanted to be an individual
 
I hate it when like a WR in college wears something like #49(I think someone on Marshall had it a few years ago), trying to be another Michael Irvin orsomething. The only numbers I can tolerate for a WR besides 1-19 and 80-89 are #26 and #21, for whatever reason. I could already see Calvin Johnson'sinfluence on #21 number this season, Oregon had a WR who had a very similar body type to Johnson and he switched from #1 to #21 for his senior season.

It's always funny seeing walk-on receivers having to wear like #91 or #96
