E Book Library vs Bookshelf

I got a Nexus 7 and the Nook & Kindle apps are so dope. Just gotta know where to get the books or free.

I only pick up physicals of those books which I have read and that I feel are worthy of owning.

Fact is books take up space and have hella mass. It's just an inconvenience to own hundreds of books especially when the alternative is much more convenient.

If my place were to be destroyed by a disaster, those books would also perish as well. Also, if I were to move, I'd have to lug all of those books around. Even more closer to home, a phone or a tablet is much more mobile than a book. And most can hold thousands of literary works.

Still, books are still being published and pressed for a reason. Not sure how much longer that will last though, especially from a cost standpoint. But vinyl records are still being pressed to this day, so the niche market will always be there - along with their Bruce Wayne like book shelves.

I don't have the money to be buying books.  I have a few pdf files of books, and was thinking of just printing them out and stapling them together. 

Sounds ghetto, I know, but I don't like reading books on screens just because I'd be staring at them for so long.

With all the money you'd be spending on ink and paper you might not be that much better off.

I feel like a man should have a library or start one after he's 30+ ...that's just me though, hence the thread, I'll be 30 in a few.

Why wait til 30 dudes should have been reading their whole lives. I have a nice collection of books already from the years. People have to own books.

I prefer ebooks since it's easier to store but I hate trying to look at my computer screen for so many minutes reading texts.

I might get a kindle though, anyone in here got one?

So far, I've only successfully finished one ebook, despite downloading over 100. I'll always prefer paper over the screen.

What devices will read books out loud?

I'll always buy books, I try to purchase a book every week, although I don't always get a chance to read everything I buy till months later. Same thing with CDs, there's something about have a physical possession of something that digital files can't replace.
