$ony: Remasters Serve The 40 Percent Of PS4 Owners That Didn't Own A PlayStation 3

You get a remaster! Uncharted

You get a remaster! God of War 3

You get a remaster! Ratchet & Clank

so are the burger king games gonna get that bc treatment lol jk

lost odyssey need to come back with bc or get remaster....... end of disk 1 provide the feels.

$ony's not willing to do BC.

IDK why you're quoting 3 year old news.
Phil stated it's the most requested feature.
360 BC blows psnow out of the water.

That's what 360 BC was meant to do.
They clearly explained that when they stated "we won't charge you to play games you already own."

It was highly requested on PS3 too and that used PS2 chips in the hardware to achieve native BC for all games, not just a select few but here's what they said about it.

“We have experience of backwards compatibility. The earliest PS3 model was backwards compatible with PS2, and it is a much requested feature… but actually it’s not so greatly used.

Matches what Don said and I don't see whats drastically changed but I can't predict the future. They really need to improve the list ASAP to be successful.

I don't know why you keep on bringing up PSNow. PS Now is not BC. PS4 has no BC.

PS Now is to games what Spotify is to music and what Netflix is to film and TV. Games as a service. If PS now was Sony's solution to BC then why would it be on the PS3 itself.
It's also on the Vita and even Samsung TV's, the same way those other services are on as much devices as possible.

You honestly think they thought, lets buy gaikai for 300 Million for BC on the PS4 even though they removed it from the PS3 with no problems?

That makes sense why they are remastering games that arent that old. I understand remastering stuff like The Last of Us that wouldve come out after a lot of people jumped ship.

The ps3 dropped BC due to poor sales. 360 bc is in beta. Which has already started off on a better foot than psnow.

psnow is what $ony offers. 360 bc is what m$ offers. That's what being compared. I didn't bring up that psnow was ps3 bc.

Read these 3 sentences again.

Great analysis of the Uncharted 4 demo. The attention to detail is on another level.

Good Lord

Naughty Dog!

They dropped it cuz it was not worth the effort.

You brought up PS Now out of no where and then compared the two like they are trying to aim for the same thing.

They aren't. They are very different so your 3 sentences don't make sense in this context.

You keep on posting that line "we won't charge you to play games you already own."

Do people subscribe to Netflix to watch their Blu-Ray collection, no it's for the vast library of titles they haven't seen all for a subscription price.
Same principle applies for PS Now.

makes sense when you put it like that. I don't mind PS Now but BC doesn't matter to me much anymore because I have the older consoles that still work fine and have played a majority of the games I wanted to play. im ready for the new games and to see what developers can do now on these new consoles (sans Nintendo)

The$e $ony $tan$ trying to act like BC i$n't a good thing :{

:lol

Don't get me wrong. I think it's great. That and the elite controller were the best thing in Microsoft's conference. Having options is always a good thing.

I personally think it's hyped more than it's used but hey it's good that if you want to use it, the option is right there.

I'm excited for Scalebound and Quantum Break too. I didn't know Scalebound was coming out early 2016 tho. I actually haven't seen anything at all on it :lol

Gassing up Recore for what exactly :lol A 2 min prerendered trailer?

This is coming from someone who would buy an Xbone if that game does prove to be great.

So Sony fans are allowed to gas up a kickstarter, an announcement that a game is still alive, and a RPG starting development hell.

But I can't get excited about a CGI trailer :{ :lol
