EA being sued?

I just received an email from the US District Court and it looks like people are suing EA. This was in the email:

What Is This Class Action About?​

The class action lawsuit alleges violations of California's antitrust and consumer protection laws in connection with the sale of certain football video games. Plaintiffs, purchasers of Electronic Arts' football video games, claim that Defendant Electronic Arts entered into a series of exclusive licenses with the National Football League (NFL), National Football League Players' Association (NFLPA), National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA), and Arena Football League (AFL), which Plaintiffs claim foreclosed competition in an alleged football video game market. Plaintiffs allege that this series of exclusive licenses caused customers who purchased certain football video games to be overcharged.

Defendant Electronic Arts has denied any liability and all allegations of misconduct. The Court has not decided whether the Defendants did anything wrong, and this Notice is not an expression of any opinion by the Court about the merits of any of the claims or defenses asserted by any party to this litigation.

bruh recently a whole bunch of companies were hacked and emails were taken.
chase, best buy.. so everybody should be expecting alot of fake emails in the following weeks

The guy who created the original program Madden ran on was told they switched programs years ago so he stopped getting paid.  He has now learned that at the base of the video game his same program is being used still to this day.  Basically he is looking at 20 years worth of royalties that EA has screwed him out of.  He is now taking it to court and is suing.  Considering over 950 million copies of Madden have been sold in its history, he is looking at making over a billion dollars if he wins.  Basically EA is going to be screwed.

U know how long it takes to pull together a class action suit, let alone the size of this one.  The suit whole T-Mobile Power Outage issues is just now being sent out to people.

Now assuming this is true, it's all but right. EA being the only company allowed to make an officially licensed football game creates a monopoly. If they wanted to charge $80 a copy, they could, where else u gon get an NFL game w/ the actual players, stats, etc?

Good. I feel as though Madden was better when they had some competition to be honest.

IDK if they planned on stop being innovative and bought the license so that they could be lazy, or what. But IMO it's not really fair to buy the rights to a professional sports league and FORCE people to buy it because there's nothing else out there.
