Dude has proved at least this post season that he can make the shots and plays when it matters.
Nuggets are clearly showing they can compete with the Lakers. To say otherwise is ridiculous. They played bad last game but to say it couldn't possibly be 2-1 the other way is just ignorance. We'll see how they rebound in game 4.
I hope there are no more Cavs fans checking this thread at this point. If so....KILL YOURSELF
All I was saying from jump street were a few simple things.
1) Melo breaks down at bad moments.
He proved this in the 2nd half of game 3.
Point proven.
I didn't say that after a breakdown he will remain that way.
So don't twist my words.
2) The Lakers are the better team.
Regardless of who is playing better at the moment (The Nuggets were playing better).
3) I contested the fact that the pressure would be on Kobe, like some of you stated in this thread.
The pressure is on Melo.
Did you see dudes body language after game 3? It was as if he lost the series.
4) Since the jump I stated that I thought the series would go to 6 or 7.
Never said we would sweep or anything of that sort.

The numbers show a pattern of Carmelo doing worse in the post season.
Regardless of who they played against his individual performances were worse.
Every series he had GREAT games and yet he had 8 point nights in all of them.
All I was pointing out since the go was that I thought this series would NOT be the exception.
You guys wanted to argue against that and were proven wrong. GAME 3.
I have proven my point.
Melo might or might not go for 40+ in whats left in this series. All I'm saying is that he has a habit of doing what he did in game 3 at the worst momentsand that it might happen again. THAT IS ALL.
I never said he was a bad player.
This series could easily be 3-0 2-1 in favor of EITHER team.
Yet the Nuggets are for the most part playing the better ball.
But who is up in the series?
My point exactly.
If the Lakers would have gotten that clear jump ball violation in game 2, they would be up 3-0.
Maybe? They might have come out in game 3 and been lackadaisical as they are known to be at times. It would of still been 2-1
Hypothetical situations are just that. HYPOTHETICAL SITUATIONS.
At the end of the day we are up playing sloppy inconsistent basketball.
Get ready for game 4.
P.S.
To already brush of the CAVS my friend is in itself ignorant.
As much as I want the Magic to beat them, it is VERY ignorant to count the Cavs off.
All the games have been close.
We all know that LeBron is going to get ALL the calls.
Its only 2-1 not 3-0.
SMH if you think they are done.
Besides all of this the league wants them in the final.
LOL if you think its already won.
But I am rooting for Howard and crew.
