They don't allow you to leave negative feedback for non paying buyers because it would slow down sales.
That would lower their fee rake.
Buy it now with 'immediate pay' is still no good (at least on eBay Australia) because hey still have a 48 hour payment window. 'Immediate' is a lie. Plus if they don't pay them there's several days where you have to open a case where they still have the option to still pay, before the case is 'closed' and ebay refund you the final listing fees you were charged for the sale, even though the buyer never paid.

Yeah it's different in the US. In order to buy it now on a listing with immediate payment, you have to submit payment for the auction to end. No window.

Yeah, I learned the hard way when listing with Best Offer. Too many flakers.
Fortunately I was able to sell off majority of my shoes through BIN w. immediate payment.
The only issue is that I have yet to receive my positive feedback from over half the items I sold last month.

This **** happens to me a few times a month. All my **** is Buy It Now or Best Offer. Why make a ****in offer if you're not gonna pay? All my listings say if you don't pay within 24 hours, I'll relist the item. Then I gotta report the case and BS.

I was so foolish though the part where you create a test listing I was wondering why my Black/Red XI's were looking fake and really long in the pictures. I'm such a bozo that I never thought of taking the pics in landscape/horizontal mode and kept the phone up right
I'm looking at the pics like yo these look fake but I thought it was just how their picture taking system was set up. After some time I was like damn I F'd up
Not sure if that's why they haven't approved me as of yet.

just one of the many reasons why I list less and less on eBay. it's become a terrible option for most low volume sellers even with great feedback like myself.

Immediate payment means the item can't be sold unless it's paid for on the spot..

That's not how eBay works, if a buyer requests a return for anything other than buyers remorse (basically admitting in a message) you can have zero returns etc etc in your listing but within 30 days the buyer can request and return any item he pleases and eBay will allow him to do it whether you allow it or not and eBay will make you pay for the return label

i can speak from experience, when someone places "or best offer" you take da buyer's "ball from their court" cuz you're literally issuing a offer that's pending (which can take days) so i can see how by da time da seller finally gets around to answering da offer, da buyer has already moved on and da seller perceives it as "flaking".

Offer lasts for 48 hours. Don't make the offer if you're not committed for 48 hours. Most people probably see that offer within two hours.

its a flawed system, especially if you got hundreds of people selling da same ish just a scroll away.
if i submit a offer, and i don't hear from da seller within a hour, you think imma wait 48 hours (2 days) if i spot another buy it now auction for da same product with da right price just to cater to a seller i dunno from a can of paint?
that's why ya catching L's... acting too choosey and taking too long with offers.
its like da drug game, if da pitcher aint got work on him for da price now, there's dozens of others corners willing to talk on da spot.

Like I said, most of those offers I accept are within the first hour. Still don't pay. So what's your excuse? I don't **** around with eBay. I want my money. You make me a good offer, I'm accepting it quick. If it's trash, it's getting declined just as quick.
Just got a good offer on my Supreme Uptempos last week. Accepted it within ten minutes. Guy had great feedback and didn't pay. Gave him a few days, nothing. Relisted it and reported it.

fam i don't got time for you mulling over a deal when papi up da block got it up da block for cheap.
you only execute "or best offer" when you KNOW what you're selling doesn't proliferate eBay and isn't prevalent as some discount bin fodder where you in competition with da same buyers as 100s of other sellers moving da same thing.

Saves your time. In your head you know exactly how much you want to bank after fees and shipping
Some people throw offers at you because they have the same item as you and want to see if you bite at a lower price so they can sell lower...at least that's how I would work the game

Selling sneakers on eBay has to be the worst. You deal with undesirables for the most part. Broke boys and kids who have little concept of ethics and will just bid on a bunch of the same item and only pay for the one they won for the lowest price. I've had instances where they'll win an auction than proceed to try and haggle the price after that.
It's funny though because I've sold big ticket items like electronics and game issues NBA jerseys where the items went for quite a bit and had no issues, but selling sneakers I already anticipate potential issues from the jump. Especially with used shoes regardless of how upfront, honest, and descriptive you are in the listing.
