EBAY QUESTION????????????

I want to buy some shoes on Ebay and I see the buy it now price is 10 dollars but the shipping is 90 dollars. Is there any way I can get screwed as a buyerdoing a transcation like this?
 
I think sellers do that to avoid fees. Just pay via paypal and your good.

Thats the main reason, i say just check out the persons feedback, you should be fine

It's to avoid the fees. If you wanna be a prick, eBay has actually changed their rules and they no longer allow this and you could report them...or youcould buy the shoes and move on.
 
ebay charges them a certain percentage of the final sell. so by doing it that way they would only charge him like 80 cents instead of like 7-8 dollars...justcheck the feedback and youll be straight...always check the feedback!
 
with my experience with ebay, the seller is trying to avoid high seller fees once the item is sold. you're pretty much getting the item as much as he/shepaid for them, but just added the majority of the price in shipping.

check out the sellers feedback and if they're reputable, you should be fine.
 
yeah. PP only covers you for the cost of the item if you should not get it or it's not as described, not shipping. Plus it's fee avoidance and eBayfrowns upon that and if they get reported eBay will yank their listing.
