Yeah, they even have a message stating they do.

I made a sale outside of eBay and they sent me a warning for doing that lol

Don't worry too much about the warning. At the most they will suspend you for a few days.
They want revenue and suspending sellers is the last thing they want to do.

I guess i'm lucky but after years of selling my collection on Ebay I've never been hit with a chargeback or had a buyer pull some shady move.

I've had my share of buyers who don''t pay but luckily no chargebacks.

I do go above and beyond to post clear photos from all angles, note any blemish or imperfection no matter how minor and pack the sneakers very well.

I also document everything as the other poster suggested. I'll even send the buyer photos of the shipping label with the weight circled and photos of the
shipping box. This way they know what's coming and it gives them piece of mind.

Facebook groups is the place for me.

Between ebay/paypal fees and the scam risk, i just wait for the good person locally and i'm flexible on the price.

Realizing that I'm about to deal with a 2nd buyer flaker within two days, this is extremely annoying.

I set the details for immediate payment.

But with eBay, they have 48 hours to submit a payment.

It's weird.

I swear these cats need to be banned or something...which I highly doubt from eBay.

My friend who sells a lot of stuff on eBay says anyone can sell on Amazon any of you fools sold on Amazon yet.

He mostly sells high end designer stuff though.

I still sell on eBay, been dealing with deadbeats lately. Like dudes who have 90+ feedback too

No matter what you can get scammed. You could record the whole transaction and personally deliver it and they'll still side with the buyer.

But times have def changed, don't really get top dollar no more and people buy stuff and don't leave feedback. That kinda irks me

The only time the immediate payment required does not work on is when you have best offer option on and use that tool to sell your item. I caught on quick with that because I got burned a couple times with deadbeats. When someone uses the best offer option I message then saying i'll except their offer and to let me know when you're ready to pay and I'll change the price. That way they have to buy it through eBay and pay mediately so I don't get burned. Hope that makes sense.

Also just came off a seven day suspension myself from selling outside of eBay. My advice for anybody selling off eBay this to send your contact info in a photo message and also when the person pays you outside of eBay DO NOT end the item early. What you do is double or triple the price that nobody would even consider paying and just let the auction run its course till the end. Supposedly next time I get caught it's a permanent suspension which means I could and me selling from eBay and make my account to where I can only buy. I also ignore all messages the person sends to me after payment suck as, payment sent, let me know when you ship, ect. I only reply to their PayPal email they sent.

I noticed than maybe 3 in 10 will leave feedback on sneaker purchases.

Also, the sneaker market has softened the past two years so prices are generally depressed.

If you sell sneakers like AF1's, CP3's, Melo's, Fly Wades and others that are not so desirable with the sneaker community you would be lucky to get 50% of the box price.

Damn was doing this a lot , got an email from eBay stating that they're watching me lol . I'm gonna triple the prices now , prior then that I used to end the item right away . And btw do they still read your personal exchange with the other person ?

I talked to a USA customer service guy and they said that nearly every message I have.... has an "ALERT" on it from buyers offering STRAIGHT PAYPAL PAYMENTS!!! LOL

This is interesting. I was wondering how to sell on there but never really got into it.


I sell clothes and shoes on eBay all the time. Very few problems but ive had a couple. Like my man said. Take the best and as many pics as possible, have a detailed description.

I had two incidents.

1. Sold my flu games for $650 or something. I had it at BIN OBO so when he just bought them and didn't make an offer I knew something was up. Never paid and I filed a claim like 3-4 days later saying I never received money. Then the case was closed and he filed a week later saying he paid and never received the shoes. It was clear that he never paid and they handled it quickly and it was no problems for me.

2. I sold some OG Adidas Kobe's to someone in Spain. Also, a BIN OBO and he bought them straight up for like $400. So I thought that was weird. He paid and then filed a claim like three months later saying he never ordered them. eBay contacted me and asked for proof that I shipped them. So I got all the info and sent it and I won that.

Always double box and wrap your items good.

Write a detailed description

Very importnat - note all issues with the sneakers such as tears, rips, factory blemishes, yellowing etc.

Post the max. allowable photos which is currently (12 ) for the free accounts

Post clear, detailed photos.

Post a front, left side, right side, toebox, back side, sole, insole, shoe label - inside shoe, label on box, entire box

Always do Buy It Now listings. New buyers who do auctions generally don't do well

If your Buy It Now sneakers are not moving, consider dropping the price every few weeks. I like to drop the price every two weeks by a couple of bucks

Take a photo of the package after you get it ready for shipping. I like to message it to the buyer alerting them the package is on the way and letting them see (for piece of mind)

This basically covers most of it. Just dont forget to set a minimum reserve price to the least amount that you'll accept or you'll end up getting $20 for your shoes and paying $10 in shpping. You have to be realistic about your expectations, though, meaning dont try to sell a shoe that you know is worth $100 for $175, or your items will just sit on ebay forever.

Been on the bay for about 13 yrs. I've had at least 100 transactions where the buyer/seller did not leave me any feedback.

nowadays I get scammed more from high feedback buyers than no/low feedback ones.

I assume they read everything. especially if your account is flagged like mine. I'm about to just start up a new account soon because even being careful I'm a bit paranoid. And damn near everyone wants a cheaper price through PayPal so it's like temptation island selling in there.

careful with the reserve price though as I think they started charging a percentage of your reserve and you still get hit with that fee even if it does not sell.

Had an authentic Kobe jersey and some Flint 12's(PM if interested ) that sold on NYE and New Years day yet still no payment.

Should I relist them? And if so, how fo i get my fees back?
