Interesting. Now I kind of wonder if you could pass the ball inbounds off the back of an official that is standing inbounds.
 
I don't know. I remember watching this one game when Mitch Richmond was still with the Kings. On an inbound, the ref handed him the ball and he juststarted dribbling it onto the court. Didn't pass it all, (not that he had anyone to pass it to anyways...)

Naw don't think so since the ball needs to be touched by a player. the ref is only part of the court.

at least it didn't cost them the game - see Michael Ruffin last year..
