To be honest, I think when both guys are in front of everybody's TV during the debates in the Fall, that's when you'll see a big shift leaningtowards Obama.

The contrast in age will be too big to overlook, kinda like JFK and Nixon, and I think Obama will come off more knowledgeable and presidential.

Obama better work on his debating skills then. He was nothing special vs Clinton & came off as much weaker then his speeches hegives that everyone knows him for.
Also McCain is a hard nose, Army/POW vet who will be bringing it.
Expect a good battle.

Thing is though, he was going up against in institution in Clinton, the presumptive nominee, and, it's sorta hard to really distinguish himself, when,he and Hillary's ideas were pretty much 95% the same.

Obama will do much better against McCain, then Clinton, that's for sure.

The problem with McCain is, everybody knows he's old, he looks old, and when he speaks, he comes off as old.

That'll be his biggest drawback, IMO.

first time comin across this thread (i believe) it reminds me of debates/arguments i have at work with co workers and kids.

^ Nope, sure didn't. The "citizen of the world, not the United States" should be up by about 20 point by now. He's gonna lose.

its too close to call, but in another "guaranteed win" election year for the democrats they managed to scrounge up yet another weak candidate to runout there. i never will understand it. whatever.

@ dudes being caught up in polls. 1 day Obama is up by 6 nextday only by 2, next day up by 5.. next day its a statistical tie. So you mean to tell me most american's opinions change that quickly about a candidate. These polls shouldn't be taken seriously.

Actually they do... 5% isn't a very large amount..... 5 to 10 people out of every 100 easily could change their mind at any time rightnow.... and certain events in the news affect who they like at any given point
