But also I would agree with the article slightly. Em's flow is ridiculous and although he obviously doesn't stay talking about materialistic stuff, sometimes he takes a while to make a point due to his lack of punchlines and metaphors. That's also why you can quote so many of Jay Z and Weezy 1-liners, but you have to quote an entire Em verse.....That's how I feel.

Eminem dived into the depths of his drug dependency for his last album, Relapse, and on his forthcoming Recovery, he continues to speak on some of the low points in his life. On the track "Talkin' 2 Myself," the Detroit MC admits being jealous of Lil Wayne's and Kanye West's rising prominence.
"I went away, I guess, and opened up some lanes," Em raps on the DJ Khalil-produced number. "But there was no one who even knew I was going through growing pains/ Hate was flowing through my veins/ On the verge of going insane/ I almost made a song dissing Lil Wayne."
In the song, Em later claims that the attention Wayne and Kanye were receiving while he was away prompted the intended attack. But he backed away when he realized he wouldn't have been much of an opponent, in his condition.
"I would have had my %$* handed to me" he spits, acknowledging his respect for their craft.
Upstart singer Kobe is featured on "Talkin' 2 Myself." He's one of the few guests on Recovery, in addition to Lil Wayne, Pink and Rihanna. For the set, though, Eminem reached out to a slew of producers he never worked with before, including Just Blaze, Havoc, Boi-1da and Khalil.
Recovery is slated for a June 22 release, however the project leaked to the Web on Tuesday (June. In the past, the rapper's recording home, Interscope Records, has shifted the album release forward to compensate for such leaks. As of press time, the label had yet to indicate whether the release date for Recovery would be moved up.

Actually Wayne's verse on No Love is the best verse on Em's album. Pretty much everyone has said this.

People really think Lil' Wayne is even CLOSE to Eminem? Lil' Wayne is a joke, and the only thing that sucks worse than his bubblegum teeny bopper fans are his stupid corny metaphors. To compare a lyrical beast like Eminem to a bubblegum rapper like Wayne is just plain insulting. This may be the dumbest thing I have ever heard in music: "I'm the bomb like tick tick..." And they say poetry is dead.
I have to admit I respected him big time until the past few years. I thought he MURDERED "Birdman Jr" and used to listen to it before every bball game in college. But all this new crap with his sorry attempts at being "deep" and the auto tuned garbage, it's just sad. I actually didn't even download the "No Love" song on Em's new album without even listening to it first because I don't care how good it might be, I know it's the same old horribly written Lil' Wayne verse that all his fans will eat up.
