I hate BSPN
The East Coast Bias
Hyping up the Sox and the Yanks
The Slurping of the Pats, I mean, they gave them their own ticker. Stoneface

They are going to be unwatchable for the next few weeks

We all do.

But the second option (Fox Sports) is horribly uninviting and amateur.

P.S. Like the Cowboys aren't one of BSPN's darlings.

ESPN just hyped this game up way too much
y'all kill me with the ESPN garbage. this is a 30 page thread and will go on for many more. 2 NFL single season records have been broken, a team just went a whole season undefeated and the game was on 3 different channels.

and nobody forces you to watch ESPN. get the info you want, scores, highlights, etc...then change the damn channel. it's a 24-hour sports channel, there's only so much to watch, and the hottest topics are going to get repeated and analyzed thoroughly.

man im not from the east coast but i think you are being ridiculous! if the damn texans went undefeated they would cover them and get their own ticker. red soxand yankees is one of the best rivalries so there is no argument there. they had bonds on it all the time when he was about to break the record. i think youare just being a hater cause you hate the pats.

I really hate when people bring this east coast bias bs to the table. ESPN covers the stories that mean something. Kinda like when we forced to watch everyfreakin Giants game when Bonds was chasing the record. If you want to see some west coast teams getting credit, find the one that is doing somethingmeaningful. Not too mention last time I checked USC played on the West Coast and all college football season, every season we have to hear them slurp thoseboys.

I'm sure you were watching ESPN in the mid-to-late 90s and the early part of this decade.

They were much more objective then, much less forced, much more enjoyable, fresh, and informative. They GAVE the news instead of FABRICATING it, and thereinlies the difference.

It's one thing to say, "That bank was robbed! Let me tell you about it!" It's a completely different thing to say, "That guys wearing aski mask (neglecting to mention that it's 5 below) and he's walking into that bank! This looks like a robbery! Let me tell you about it!"

Since... I'd say... about '03, ESPN has been the latter, doing more creation and fabrication of news stories, and less 'informationaljournalism'.

The 'Terrell Owens threatened SUICIDE!' story last year was completely symbolic of ESPN over the last few years. Despite my antipathy towards Owens, Icompletely believe that he was never suicidal, and didn't deserve any of the negative attention he got that day.

P.S. Quoting yourself?

it's ratings man.... create a "villain" (yankees, red sox, patriots) and you have people tuning in to watch them get beat....

i agree with everything you said. but we've had some HUGE sports stories over the last few years, things that have never happened during ourgeneration and the amount of "talking heads" on TV is as large as ever. but i think ESPN still delivers everything a sports fan needs along with alot of things we don't need, but still talk about. i just think its funny to complain about it when there are so many other sports and media outletsincluding the internet that someone can get every tidbit of every single athlete/team/gossip/rumors, etc. most of the time, people who complain about acertain team getting too much media coverage, wouldn't complain if it was their team. it's almost like complaining about the quality of a Nike orJordan shoe, yet still buying and wearing it. if someone was that frustrated with a Nike shoe, maybe they should look to another brand.

that's wildKYcat's bad about quoting himself, next time wildKYcat will just speak in 3rd person, word to Ricky Henderson.

As much as ESPN has fallen off and is weak at times, I'm not going to say I won't be watching Sportscenter in the morning. Because I know for a damnfact I will and always will be.

Did you come up with that yourself?

. If so, prettyimpressive.

You have 2 options.

ESPN Video/ESPN 360 or ESPNEWS. Those are the only ways to get quality highlights and info w/o all the other BSPN propaganda.
