NFL didn't like it. ESPN & the NFL are cohorts....it's as simple as that.

I have the DVD set of this somewhere and this thread reminded me to look for it.

If HBO did/picked up this up :smokin

One of the best shows ever. Been trying to find it on the Internet for a while.

If you've never seen this, it was a great short lives series's :hat

NFL didn't like how real ESPN was with the storyline a and poking at everything so they shut it down :{

HBO needs this :{

I was glued to this series. I haven't seen one episode since the original run. Roids, sex, homosexuality, cheating, etc. etc. Too real for Tagliabue and nem

I NEEDED A BOOST! SOMETHING TO GIVE ME AN EDGE

Ah.... the days of "ESPN Original Series'." Somehow , I never caught this show, but I managed to catch an episode of the hot mess of a pseudo gameshow they called "Teammates". :x

I wish HBO would do an NFL-based mini-series. Of course the main characters would play for New Orleans....

I barely remember the show. I was still in middle school when it came out, but I remember enjoying it.

Only thing I remember is when they told the quarterback to stop tapping the ball before he threw it, and some parking lot playing.

Man, HBO should have picked this show up like a fifty-dollar bill on the ground!!!! It would have been The Wire on the football field. Some of that stuff was a little over the top though like that homosexual relationship come on now really??? *Not the premise of that relationship but how it was going down.

Part of the NFL deal with ABC/ESPN was to kill this show.

Other networks would have picked it up but ESPN wasn't having it.
