Seriously, espn hypes up their "Sources" like their some magical mythical beings and that their word is the way.

I coulda swore a few these "Sources" said Carmelo was supposed to be traded within 48 hours, but that was 72 hours ago.

Lets not even get started on the million different false stories we heard between midnight july 1st and 9pm est july 8th this summer from these "Sources"

There's so many other dumb things their "Sources" have claimed or said sports wise that came up to be false that it's pretty sad.

ESPN started falling off when they stopped reporting the news and started creating the news.

Face it, it's a player controlled situation. Same thing happened with the LeBron situation. These guys let this stuff run wild and at the end of the day, you see clips from the Nuggets media day and nobody knows anything! I chuckled this afternoon when Chris McKendry said that this was further evidence that men do not know how to communicate. Melo brought this +#*% upon himself. Fans can't stop talking about it. ESPN isn't going to say no to more sets of eyes any day of the week. Why should they? Why do they have to quell the story and not let it ride out when this fool Melo won't say anything on camera/radio for days and speculation runs rampant?

When did ESPN raise itself up as a bastion of elite and ethical sports journalism? The first letter stands for Entertainment. Everyone around them expects something out of them when in fact they frankly shouldn't really care about it all. They are doing just fine.

...Like during the LeBron going to Miami thing...Stephen A reported it before everyone (Late May/June 1) yet ESPN gave Chris Brousard full attention like if he broke it even though he was reporting different things that week til right before it actually happened.

Yea im tired of their sources. For that pay me and ill make predictions and ill even put my name behind it. And then when Im right on one of them I will pretend I never said anything other than what happened (Chris Brussard)

Hell my 6 year old goddaughter does this.

Yall obviously dont know how sources work. You cant give the persons name because then you will no longer have your source. Half the stuff you hear reported is coming from players, coaches, and front office people but you cant sell them out.

I cringe every time i see the word "sources."I hate ESPN so much. I just wish there was a legit alternative for the variety of sports we have in this country... Besides Sportsnation, PTI, and ATH I don't watch anything on that channel.

This drives me crazy too. Honestly it was great when ESPN actually used Rumor Central. I used to love reading it. Now everything thats on Rumor Central just becomes the top story and they say its from Sources...
