Had Yao not broke his foot the Rockets would have beaten the Lakers

Fisher came alive in the Finals, he couldn't even stay on the court against Houston
Odom couldn't guard anybody
Ariza couldn't guard anybody
Bynum was well...... Bynum
And Kobe was working extra hard to get his 30+

Now i'm not real big on if's but that was just something I wanted to post.........

and Kmart still thinks Denver is the better team.

But it didn't happen.

We won't be able to find out unless these teams macth up again next year.

Houston said trailing 2 - 1 in the series they were the better team.

Denver said trailing 2 - 1 in the series, they were the better team.

Orlando said trailing 2 - 1 in the series, they were the better team.

Notice any patterns goin on here?

Least Utah was smart enough to keep their damn mouths shut.

I've been a member here for seven years and one thing I have come to learn about Rocket fans is it is always "ifs" with them. "If Yao ishealthy....blah blah blah". "If Tmac wasnt hurt.....blah blah blah". Face it, your team is made of glass. Injuries are no longer an excusewhen they happen every single year. Next year we will hear "If the Rockets are healthy, they will easily be in the championship". The predictionshappen every year, but your team is never healthy so what's the point of these what if situations anymore?

yeah, clearly we're not making excuses now

Had I said they lost because they didn't have Yao then that would be an excuse.

Now tell me where you see that in the op?

If Garnett wasn't injured the Lakers would have been embarrassed again.

Had the refs not been so bad we would have won that game.

Had so and so player better we would have won that game.

Had so and so played more minutes we would have won that game.

Had so and so not been injured we would have won that game.

All excuses. You chose to use the latter of the four.

If Yao didn't get injur......who gives a crap. He did, its over with stop making excuses. Same crap every year

This

is apparently much different from this:

Had Yao not broke his foot the Rockets would have beaten the Lakers

What was the series at when Yao got hurt?

2 - 1 us right? We had just taken home court away from you right?

After our game 1 adjustements, we had figure out to front Yao and he couldn't get the ball right? For 2 straight games right?

Soon as he went down, the Lakers had no idea who to attack, or what the Rockets were going to do, we had 12 hours to prepare a completely new gameplan, right?

What happened the next game when we had prepared? A 40 point blowout, right?

And after a hard fought win by you guys in your final game at home, was a 19 point blowout in game 7 right?

But Yao woulda changed that, even though he had just lost two straight, right?

Riiiiiiiight.

IF KG was back, It would have been a Re-match and it would have been a close finals. We all know how Boston's D faired on Kobe and Gasol last year.

Yea the Lakers rose to every challenge this playoffs. They were the best team IMO. Series may have been over in 5 if Yao had played, no point in having thisconversation.
