I have an account that I never used, but signed up for. So, I was bored and decided to login for some reason. Just curious how do they know friends suggestion? I've never filled out any detail on my profile, did they somehow get access to my yahoo email contacts?

Most likely people noticed your unused accts and suggested freinds for you to send or accept request. But I'm sure based on location, age and gender in the facebook script can generate suggestions that you'd most likely recognize.
