facebook woes

I work for Apple, so I'm probably in a totally different situation for you.

BUT, anything posted on a social networking forum, blog, etc. that can be seen as detrimental or shows any type of conflict in interest is grounds for termination. So it all really depends on the context and what was said, atleast for the company I work for.

*EDIT* To add to this, when I worked at Champs, my boss saw was browsing on one of my coworkers' Myspace pages and saw a comment left on her page "Thanking her for the free shoes!" Better believe she got fired the next time she came in to work.

Well, I got fired from my job along with a bunch of others because of facebook. Somebody who works with us made a page on the store that was harmless at first. Then somebody posted a discussion, what do you hate about customers and etc. There was like 50 people that belonged to the group. Well, somebody called corporate and complained. The HR department decided to fire a bunch of people because the things they said on the page. Some of the stuff was pretty bad, I must admit. They were also full of lulz though too. Whatever though....it's all good. It's a mistake I won't make again. Never put anything work related on facebook. Nothing like ugh, I hate work, or anything like that. People are out watching for it....trust me.

It's all good though...I'm 19 and it was a supermarket. I'm making 3x more at my new job...so I ain't even mad.
