I think the fact that Facebook was able to (a) implement facebook ads and (b) get business profiles/pages, etc. were the keys to their sustained success. I know Facebook is looking past social media now (smartly so) in order to diversify.

I knew this was happening once I saw baby boomers on it. The youth is disgusted by their parents and grandparents talking about or being all up on FB.

How did it start then.
When fb was no longer exclusive to colleges I figured it would turn until worldstar lite.
I'm sure Zuckerberg wanted it to stay that way but, as in many cases, that check causes people to abandon their intentions.
I browse occasionally for random news and shenanigans, but I never post.

Snap is too "complicated" since the layout can be tricky.
When i saw my mom and dad opened an ig acct thats when i deaded it.
Now i have no social media but good old NT

I dipped from FB after a good 4-5 year run. Think I deactivated my joint in 2011-2012? It was around the same time my folks hopped on there, but I never attributed me leaving to them joining lol. I left bc I got tired of the same damn posts over and over. Only social media I’m on now is IG and NT lol. Never cared to join Snapchat.
