Yep, the color borders break up the m to make it look like an r. Always been like that you can just notice it more now with these genericcolorways coming out

Not an outstanding colorway...look hard enough and you can find em for $79.99 at some Outlets...maybe even cheaper.

I'm hunting for these on the cheap and will end up copping with a lace switch.

Isn't Eminem wearing them in the 'we made you' video?

i never noticed that on am95s

OG 95s actually have "airmax"

For whatever reason, Nike decided to combine the r and the m, making it "aimax"

I'm trying to search for pics in the meantime. The four OG 95s had "airmax" on the tongue with a line going through the "i" but sincearound 1998 or 99, the "airmax" logo has become standard.

Yes, seller is legit, and the sneakers are real too. Copped those 95's myself for under retail.

100% legit site and sneaker and this colorway was all over the place, even at outlets recently for $80. airmax logo on the tongue always looked like that butusually there's 2 colors so you can see how the "r" overlaps the "m".

briannnnn I don't mean to question you cuz you have 100x more knowledge on 95's than me, but I did just watch this pair from 97 sell onebay and you're partially right - the color separation was on the "i", but the "r" and "m" were still mashed together. maybethe original 95s are different?

That was one of the first things I noticed when I bought an old girlfriend a pair back in 1995 - one of the most distinctive features of the shoe.

ID4shoes is legit & if I had more $$ I wouldn't mind their shipping costs... the Mexican Blanket AM95 is looking good....

OGs were different. Logo looked just like that except it was "airmax" instead of "aimax"

So I guess around 1997 was when the tongue logo began to look like that.

The 2002 Neons have this same logo on the tongue, btw

How did people not know this? Its just usually there's a color differentiating between the r & m

If memory serves me correctly:

Neons
Comet Reds
Slates
Emerald Teal (alternating white and black on the sides where the gradient panels would be; top of tongue was emerald teal)

Back
Top Bottom
