Fakes? Counterfeit Nikes

This man posted in a sewing group I'm in sharing "Nike" shoes he made. Several people told him this is copyright infringement and he stated that he "worked for Nike" and that they "follow him and use his designs". There's no way that's legit right? This seems to be clear copyright infringement to me. He has a website and everything.

This is more of a custom "hobby" type of thing from the looks of it. He's not making thousands of pairs in various sizes for sale right? Just a pair or 2 probably. If he was making full size runs or something I believe they would put an end to it. Hes probably buying fakes and customizing them. Technically it may be infringing by US law, however I'm guessing its not enough for Nike to send their $1000 lawyers after him. They have way bigger fish to fry.
