Not sure if this is the right place to post this.  Sorry if it isn't.

I called up and filed a claim with Nike last week about my 21st Century Olympic windrunner.  Purchased it last year through eastbay and the 3M material is flaking off in large amounts on the sleeves.  Nearly half the sleeve is black from the 3M coming off.

Talked to a cool dude on the phone and he processed my claim.  I told him that I'm currently not in the US due to work.  He said that's fine and to give him my USA address to use for a return address.  Sent it off last week from South Korea and today I see this on nikeclaims.com.

The following WILL NOT be accepted:
  • Returns from consumers residing outside the U.S.
I do reside in the US, but currently I'm overseas.  Does anyone know if this will affect my claim?

Also, when I check my status on nikeclaims.com, it just says "Open".  Does it update when they received my package?  Because they should have received my package by now.

thanks

Interested to see how this goes...

I have a pair of AM95's that are literally falling apart that I've been sitting on and thinking about filing a claim, but just didn't :lol

No, it doesn't state when they received it. It'll say open until the decision is made. Usually takes a couple weeks.

Just got off the phone with a Nike Claims Rep, she told me they normally don't accept international shipments.

Which got me a little heated, cause dude last week should have told me this, that way I could just send it to my sister in Atlanta and she could forward it to Nike.  She's researching whether or not my package got rejected or accepted.  Because my "Return address" is my US address, she thinks it might have been accepted.

If it gets rejected, you think Nike will reimburse my shipping costs?  Long shot I know, but damn, dude last week should have told me they don't take packages from outside of the US.

Only time I've ever filed a claim with Nike...what a headache.

I'm in the US and filed a claim for the same product. It took no longer than a week to get my voucher. They emailed me saying it was accepted.

Hopefully mine goes through.  The lady I talked to today said they DO accept Intl packages for claims.

You overreacted. As a former csr at plenty of call centers dude hooked you up ina way to get your claim through and not get himself in trouble. He slyly asked you for a return US address..bam that was it thats all that needed to happen the product would go to that address in whatever time frame. .. He cant just say hey man give me a us address so we can get around this outside the us rule....did he have to spell it out for you?..
