I'll be in New York this Friday thru Sunday for the Bulls game. Pretty large group and I'm coming with my woman.

Will you New Yorkers or frequent visitors help me with great restaurants and clubs? Not looking for the grimy parts, see enough of those here in the CHI.

Staying in Brooklyn at the Sheraton...also could use some

Any good suggestions for shows or museums this weekend?

Thanks in advance

Yep, that's Sunday...need to fill up the schedule for Friday and Saturday

Why don't you just do a quick search and grave dig a bit OP? There's one of these threads every couple weeks or so, it would benefit you best to absorb as much as you can from old threads. Hit up the Da Heightz for that

I'll help you out OP. Since you're staying Brooklyn, check out the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory in Brooklyn Heights. It's got one of the best views of the city, ice cream is pretty good and I'm sure your girl is going to love it. It's pretty dope, that's a must see I feel like in Brooklyn. In the city a lot of people will say go try 53rd street and 6th avenue Halal food from 7P.M. to like 5 A.M, though it isn't as good as it used to be it's still pretty damn good. I guarantee there is nothing like it in the Chicago area.

If you looking for a cheap bar to pre-game in, check out Continental in the St. Marks part of the city. 2 DOLLAR SHOTS ALL NIGHT OF ANYTHING, pre-game there for cheap and hit up whatever club in the city, I like Santos Party House (house music), not the biggest of clubs but it gets by. Do research on the clubs, lot of it depends on what you like (music type, the crowd, size of the venue)

Get some Shake Shack if you're looking for a good burger. There's one by like 46th street by Times Square and the original one in Madison Square Park which is the one I like to go to, its a small shack in a park haha, line is usually pretty long. And if you wanna shop, Soho is where I would go. I work there when I'm not away at school and its got plenty of shops, good vibe and if you look hard enough, find some decent deals. Hope this helps.

^ I agree with you brownsuga1, EXCEPT for Continental. I know for a fact they are racist. I will NEVER patronize that bar ever.

Not to ruin it for anyone, but my experience was this, I went there in July about 2 years ago, had on jeans, not fitted, but not huge, my boy had on fitted jeans, there were 4 guys including me (2 black, 2 hispanic), we had 4 females with us, went to the door 2 security guards wouldn't let me and my boy in because our pants were "too baggy". Meanwhile while we are looking right into the bar (the doors were open because it was summer), there was a white dude with cutoff jean shorts and combat boots

. After that I will never go there again.

But OP, there is too much to do in those two days. Pick ONE or TWO activities. You can either go to a club or two or club one night and do activities another day. If you try to do both you WILL be tired. Museums are plentiful, my suggestion is the Museum of Natural History on 5th Ave. Donations are requested but not mandatory. Have fun man and look up places online before hand.

Thank you all for the suggestions, I'm gonna search for the old thread as well

Sorry to hear about that man. I heard of Continental being racist but I haven't had any problems and I'm not white. But yeah your story isn't the first time I heard of that. The owner walks around in some Viet Kong type rice patty hat lol
