Hey wsup NT,

I'm looking for some guidance on a project i'm thinking about doing
here's the story....over the weekend i was helping my cousin and her husband who's one of my boys move from their house to an apt, and during the process my cousin's husband gave me a near DS pair of Silver Flightposite 1's from 2000 in a size 11.

Now i have these in the stash i acquired from one of my boys in a trade, but they got worn out soles i'd say 6/10, but the uppers are mint, and are a size 10.5

I put them side to side, and the bottoms look like they're the same size
So my question is
Would i still be able to pull off a sole swap even tho it's a 1/2 size smaller?

Any help would be appreciated I just don't wanna jump into the project, and not be able to do the swap.

i would doubt it... but take extra measurements to be sure?

i doubt it. even if the measurements are 'close' to being the same, the shoe fit won't be the same so i won't even consider it. i have a 10.5 & a 11 but the fit is completely different. for me the 10.5 had a perfect sole fit/mold compaired to the sz 11 specially the arch on the inner side of the shoe.

That's wat i thought in terms of the sizing, but i figured the upper molds were laid down on a range of bottoms more or less like how the insoles are sized where they use the same one for a range of sizes...i have a black pair of flights from the last time they retroed but i use those for ball already i wanted to give the Carbon Flights some new tread...guess i'll just rock them as is in the mean time no use in keeping them caged in the box like the have been

you're definitely going to want to use the same size shoe if you want to do a sole-swap with them. even if the shoes are 1/2 a size apart and look like they are the same...the soles will have a few cm difference.

went thru this when i swapped soles on my foam ones.

also note that the CF soles aren't actually black, they are dark grey....not that it matters much.

true. don't do it. but if you're really decided. make sure do it as precise as you can so you can at least entertain the idea you can put em back as before
