Flu Game: 15th Anniversary

Regardless...

I loved this gem by Walton during the pregame show though:

"Now while everybody else has been throwing the pedals, the rose pedals at the feet of Michael Jordan, the view from here is: This is Karl Malone's night."

All hail, Heir Jordan!

how do we know he was sick tho? i just watched on nbatv. he didnt sound sick. def couldve been hungover...never thought of that..

i kinda feel the same way about mikes flu game, as i do about magics aids....never happened as they say...more or less..never happened..

and i'm huge fans of both.

GOAT was amazing... the way he move and groove on the court was unique.

@ the Utah fans in here saying "hangover" (I kid I kid!).

Regardless as to whether he TRULY had the flu or he got *+*%+# up the night before... he STILL managed to give the Jazz... the BLUES.

+**! was crazy to watch.

I may be even more impressed if it was a bad hangover. Even harder to function

For those who watched the complete game...how did the speed and athleticism of that game compare to let's say, a game from this era? And defense?

I cringe when I think of athletes like Ibaka, Westbrook, Durant, LeBron, etc. playing in that era.

What would you think would happen if our era played Jordan's era

Would love to hear your perspective based on what you just wrote

You can have speed and all the athleticism that you want....efficiency, team work, and playing hard defense will always be on the winning end.

THIS + EXECUTION ...

Well there are still efficient and hard working players/teams in today's generation... plus the advantages of being a modern athlete
