According, to goody911, that's the case. I'd be thrilled to see them at the outlets. Some of the ZFKs hit outlets, so it's definitely possible! Plus, they're Lunar-based, so that'll increase the chances :). Either way, I'll be copping at least two for the launch, and I'm sure I'll be acquiring more as the year progresses.

Yeah I'm on board with these...So many nice colorways...Do we have information as to which colorways are releasing first?

Ok so now that we know these have the extra cushion that the flyknit trainers didn't.....are we saying they fit more like lunarglides? or keep flyknit sizing? I have trainers in a 10.5 and an 11 and the 10.5 fits perfectly. The 11 is too big but im an 11 in free runs.
I only want those grey/teal ones....im getting pretty stoked for this release
hi, all

regarding to this case , flyknit was built in lighter way as the direction, so they are cutting more precess of making this shoe in lighter way.

it fits perfect, as it's one single layer kniting upper in a piece, even the tongue part is just a sinigle layer as the knit racer and trainer .

for the size, actually 8 and 8.5 is not making much difference, as my understanding size 8~9 is sharing the same outsole component.

so it's better to get it the exact size you might normally wear, as it might stretch a bit after a while.

for more of your information reference, lunar glide 4 back collar is also laminated with the foam, and so as the tongue, as the cushion it makes the shoes

more fit , differently to the knit, it has less foam so regarding to the size, I believe , you need to consider about 0.5 smaller than normal size.

as different consumer's habit is different , so it's better try it before getting them . these are my experience for all of ya.

good day

here's the color and tongue part for your reference, you guys can actually notice the difference of thickness from it

Thanks for the answer. I noticed that my flyknit trainers when laced up for running do stretch and fit well. But when worn loose just casually they are a tad tight (in a 10.5). And based on the pictures of the foam lining being a little bit thinner then lunarglide 4s i think i will stick with my flyknit trainer size 10.5 as opposed to my free run size (11).

Thanks for the response and pics as we all know its hard to find a pair to try on when the shoe is such a hyped release or not released anywhere near you. Thanks again

you are welcome , im just sharing with you all what I have known. !! keep it out all ya sneaker heads LOL

Can't wait to try these out. I actually think the other ones are some of the most comfortable shoes I own. It would be crazy if these lunars
can beat that. These are the only shoes on the horizon that I'm looking forward to.

So is the RD on these in April now? I saw someone in the other FK thread say some of these drop on 4/13. Or could it be the second batch of colorways with the first batch being in Feb? 8o

Sorry if this has been posted somewhere already but one other thing that I have heard from people that I can't seem to find in this thread is that the cushioning system is NOT identical to the Lunarglide system. Speaking with a couple of people that have worn or have information on the shoe, it appears that there will not be dynamic support carrier system in the shoe that the Lunarglide has. As such, it's an actual neutral Lunar cushioning system, similar in ride to the Lunar Racers or Lunar Trainers from the original launch in 2008. Keep in mind that there are probably a lot of changes in terms of how the Lunar cushioning has been developed over the last half decade (wow... 4+ years since Lunar came out!), so the ride probably wont be identical to those older shoes, hopefully with better cushioning without sacrificing responsiveness. However, those looking for a super supportive shoe like the Eclipse or even the Glide might need to look elsewhere, at least from a pure running application. Casual wear should be less impacted although it might be something to consider.

If I'm honest, I'm really excited about the prospect of a neutral Lunar shoe. My favorite running shoe is still the original Lunar Racers although I recently went for a run in my HTM Flyknits and it was about as close to that old ride as I've gotten. I ironically still prefer running in the Flyknit Racers as the Zoom once broken in has given me better response than any other shoe I've ever run in while this generation of Lunarglide seems to be almost over supportive despite giving decent spring back. I used to overpronate but I've slowly and consciously dialed it out and can now run with just about any shoe so maybe I'm no longer the target market for the Glide/Eclipse lines. That said, I'm hoping that this new midsole has a lower ride height and maintains a higher level of cushioning while giving slightly better responsiveness, even if it has to sacrifice absolute cushioning.

That said, it's clear that Nike is making this shoe its halo product, with it being targeted as a pinnacle performance shoe. I am curious if their decision to go with a neutral midsole was to cut weight as Goody mentioned earlier but to also put it on par with the Lunar Racer but with a more cushioned experience. Put another way, is it supposed to be a Flyknit Racer alternative (NOT Trainer albeit it does have a Trainer Flyknit upper tooling) for those who want the Lunar cushioning feel at the cost of Zoom responsiveness? That would explain the higher pricepoint and the fact that they are differentiating it from the Zoom based Flyknits while maintaining both lines. And does that mean we may see an Engineered Mesh variant of the same midsole? But I have to say that I really hope that they will release a true Lunar Racer variant using a Flyknit upper in the future. But that's a discussion for the future. =P

Wow! That is some great info/rumor. I would prefer a more plush lunarlon bed than the current stiffer ones.

Bittersweet. I love the LT, it's my second favorite shoe to run in! I know the F1s do not have the same support system as the LGs (Dynamic Support), but are you sure they don't have the "bottomless" carrier technology (gives the forefoot section more Lunarlon) in their sole?

Anyhow, thanks for the info/insight! I heavily doubt I'd run in these, unless I find a pair way way below retail. The F1s look too damn good to get beaten up, so they will be primarily for casual wear for me.

I'm pretty sure that they WILL have a bottomless carrier system or at least something similar. Almost all Lunar products in the running space seem to be moving in that direction other than the ultralights/non flagship models. (see Lunarspeeds, Lunarspiders, Lunar Racers etc.) If you look at the photos of the sole of the shoe that have hit the web, the two tone colors seem to indicate that there is a bottomless carrier tech with the middle and ball side of the forefoot while the outer side of the forefoot has more support. It should still provide more cushioning than a "vanilla" Lunarlon application but given that the Eclipse and other support based shoes also have a Dynamic support insert, I'm not so sure if the cushioning will be as plush as those.

Also, the Flyknit Racers I've been logging miles in actually still look amazingly good. Given that it's raining here in LA today, mebbe I'll have a go at cleaning it and see if the colors pop again. The Flyknit upper seems to keep stuff pretty clean so long as you aren't running in mud/dirt/etc. But I totally get your POV about keeping them in good shape. =P

penpen: I hope so too! Just curious... how much mileage have your FK Racers logged so far?

I want to say over 300km. So about 185 miles? My mileage has dropped off lately with work ramping up between the holidays and the weather starting to be a bit unsuitable for the shoes. Still, when the weather is nice, it's my go to shoe. Probably nowhere near as durable as the Trainer but I pointed out in the Zoom Flyknit thread that the Racers just flat out fit me better than the Trainer. Zoom based shoes tend to last me a bit longer than Lunar based ones too. =P

No dynamic support!!!! Great news!!!! I've been wanting for a neutral lunar shoe for long time. Hated not being able to wear lg's cause of dynamic support.

So highsnobiety just posted pics of flyknit ones and it looks like there is no extra padding in the collar area.

i was kinda hoping for extra padding for less heal slip and other pics in this thread show the padding. Maybe HighSnobiety has old pics??

I noticed that too and was looking for the extra padding, we'll see.
