I just don't understand why you need to sully up a perfectly good dish. They had to know adding vegetables doesn't help the overall enjoyment of something like mac & cheese.
The only people I could see stomaching this are people stuck in "the yummy phase" where every vegetable has to be covered in cheese or in some sort of candied syrup sauce.
