Day 28 of Ramadan went with tuna melt on a hero & onion rings from Cherry Valley in Whitestone, Queens. Tuna is so damn good here & they toast it to perfection.

Gotta say - idk if I’ve ever had a tuna melt.

I've only had tuna melts a couple of times. I ordered one from a local deli. It was on 2 slices of toasted white bread and had american cheese that was barely melted. Was the only bad sandwich I ever ordered from there.

John’s is mid. Everyone recommends it, my local pizzaria got better cheese. Rubirosa is just where all the “cool” people go.

Go to Scarr’s on LES, hell Prince St Pizza got better pizza than Rubirosa.

Cherry valley is GOAT. Honey Hog and bullet is my favorites. (not halal tho)

Cherry Valley is def one of the GOAT Delis in NYC . If only they were halal I'd be there everyday, lol. Their tuna is great though so I don't feel like I'm settling. You ever had the tuna melt? If not, give it a shot next time.

If done right it's really good. Sure you'll find a spot or two around your way that has a legit tuna melt. I highly recommend you try it at least once.

They're right across the street, lol. I heard they are equally good as Cherry Valley if not better. Going to look through their menu & see what's up tuna wise since nothing is halal. On my way back next to the Cross Island expwy I saw a new pizza spot called View. Looked nice on the outside, might have to swing hy & check it out.

John's of Bleecker, on Bleecker St Manhattan Scarr's Manhattan, Best Pizza in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, Dani's in Kew Gardens, Queens, Vaccaros Pizza in Little Neck Pkwy, Queens, Amore in Flushing, Queens, Lucia also in Flushing, Queens, Dunwoodie Pizza in Yonkers, Pizzeria Margherita on Jamaican Avenue, Queens. List goes on & on. You really can't go wrong with any of those spots + the ones others before me have mentioned.
