FOOD THREAD VOL. GRUB LIFE

You're not lying about BonChon's food/service being hit or miss...some of their locations can be "meh"...I usually have good luck at the BC out in Centreville.

Where do you usually go for your fried chicken?

Speaking of Asian food, have you been to The Block in Annandale? I HAVE to get out there. If you're not familiar, check out the website.
I tend to go to Chi Mi in Chantilly when I'm in the mood for Korean fried chicken. https://chimcusa.com/menu_chantilly/
Been told numerous times about "Da Block" but still haven't been.

Will do this fall
Yeah I had heard about The Block for awhile. I tried to go a month ago on a Saturday night and it was PACKED. I ending up going to Lighthouse Tofu down the street instead which was really good.

Unpopular opinion maybe but i like the tounge and tail better than various cuts of steak.

The rib however is my favorite piece from a cow

Cooked for the entire week.

Ziti with meatballs and mozzarella, turkey chili with beans, fettuccini alfredo with thick cut bacon, rotisserie chicken, meatloaf.

Here's a close up of the chicken. I bought a whole rotisserie chicken from the supermarket and followed the guide posted a page or so ago.

I don't think it's too bad for my first time. Much better than the hack job I usually do. I bought my first house in May and told the extended family im hosting Thanksgiving this year. So I have like 2 months to get this down pat.

It's amazing but you gotta cook it right.

The back and front of the tounge have different textures.
You gotta boil it or pressure cook it for a while to get it tender.

Filipinos have a dish called langua estufado and it's absolutely amazing.

I have a friend from Morocco and he prepared a dish with beef tounge cut into larger cubes and I loved it as well....I forget the name tho

Wings is like the go to food after drinking or just when hungry in general. Had some bon Chon yesterday it was bangin
Facts...wings probly my fav food right now

Had some wingstop the other day and got lemon pepper for the 1st time in a while, they were worse than I remember ...no idea why Rick Ross and the city of ATL hypes that flavor so much :lol
