FOOD THREAD VOL. GRUB LIFE

1000

Louisiana fried chicken. My L.A. heads know what I'm talking about.

Made my own Quesarito from Chipotle. Ordered chicken bowl with white rice and black beans and proceeded to stuff it into a carnitas quesadilla. DAMB GOOD :smokin 10 minutes later...

Food coma ensued.

Pine Tree Cafe: Near the airport, good plate lunches and breakfast.

Manago Hotel: A real old hotel about 20 minutes south of Kona that has some really good pork chops with onions and gravy.

Kawamoto Store: A small store in Hilo that is my favorite place to eat on the entire island. Great tempura, nori chicken, and Korean chicken. Get here really early (like before 8:00 a.m.) or all the good stuff will be sold out.

Cafe 100: If you like loco moko this is the spot in Hilo to get it; really popular with the locals.

Two Ladies Kitchen: If you like mochi, they have fresh strawberry mochi with azuki beans.
