I come in ignorance.

In 2024, how are brands like Folgers and Maxwell House doing now that there are so many other brands on the market? I would assume yalls parents might still drink those brands?

I would think they’re a well enough known brand they’re fine? I could be wrong. But I’m sure most of us still know the Folgers jingle

well the reason other brands are in place is because of what we call whitelabeling which is a product of globalization of the supply chain
which means lets say someone gets some instagram fame and becomes an influencer
they can come out with their own "brand" of cofffee which is basically a generic kirkland signature like product and you print your own label on it
this allows for thousands of "brands" to be created
whereas in the 80s 90s and early 2000s this wasn't around which meant if u wanted ur own coffee 'brand' u needed a large capital investment

Tried the cfa chicken biscuit for the first time since I had one as a reward. Goddamn that was the best fastfood / chicken place biscuit i’ve ever had. Flaky and buttery. Of course put some grape jelly on it. Really sad that places like popeyes and kfc have trash biscuits.

The Kirkland cans? They're not bad for when I'm on the go.

I been saying this for a couple years now :pimp:

Petramale is probably the best pizza I've had anywhere and dude is cooking in a church parking lot. You only have like a 30 minute window to call before all the slots are booked

I’m a New Jersey-born Italian American pizza obsessive with 20 years of food writing under my belt, so it’s not easy to raise my eyebrows. But that’s the beauty of living in Southern California: LA is the Wild West of pizza, where anything goes. Certified pizzaiolos are slinging everything from chewy Neopolitan and crisp thin-crust pies to delicious Detroit- and Sicilian-style squares — and winning national recognition for their efforts.

Today, Petramale Pizza is making some of the best New York-style pizza in the city once a week in a Venice church parking lot. Ozzy’s Apizza in Glendale, meanwhile, has become a social media phenomenon for its charred New Haven-inspired pies. And both Echo Park pan pizza specialist Quarter Sheets and Silver Lake Indian-Italian sports bar Pijja Palace have gotten their fair share of national recognition.

Korean chicken sandwich. Was ok, too saucy. Wish it had the crispy batter of Korean superior wings.
